Children's books that celebrate diversity from birth to 5 years old

This is a list of children’s books from birth through five years old, featuring diverse characters. Most of these books are aligned with Montessori principles, though not all are strictly Montessori. My hope in creating this list was to both have books in which children will be able to see themselves represented, as well as to introduce them to a multi-racial, multi-cultural world around them.
